About Us

Private BuilderTM, is an enabling, digital platform, that allows contractors and owners to connect to one another. Many of today’s referrals for finding contractors is still done through word of mouth. People call one another up and ask if they know a good plumber, electrician, builder etc. Others see construction taking place and they either get introduced by the owner or they simply approach the contractor directly and ask them to come across and help. A new trend is to search on-line in the hope of finding someone reliable and honest. Others take a chance on guys holding advertising placards outside DIY centres, in the hope that they deliver on their promises. While that practise has worked in the past and may even still work today, it doesn’t help to connect owners and contractors on a wider scale, hence the creation of the Private BuilderTM platform. The platform was invented in the spirit of creating a sustainable eco-system, where the community at large can self-propel more productivity using the power of their referrals ,and in that way it is anticipated that the really great, hardworking and honest folk will find more work, and new jobs will be created for our unemployed, and also that more people will help trade (or even better), donate surplus building materials to deserving communities to help keep building forward, in the true spirit of Ubuntu. At the heart of the platform lies the ideal of:

• Camaraderie in helping others
• promoting good skills to promote job creation
• protecting each other from being ripped off by unscrupulous or unqualified persons, while we are trying to improve our lives by building homes for our families.

In order for us to sustain these ideals, and to make the platform work as it was intended, it is absolutely imperative that we all make use the platform in an honest and collaborative manner.
